TOUCH
The touch sensitivity feature of the SDP-4 allows
you to find the ideal level of key response to suit
your playing style and add expression to your
performances.
Choose from soft, medium and hard touch options,
or turn off the touch sensitivity for no change in
output volume regardless of how hard the keys are
played.
The default touch sensitivity setting is 2 (medium)
and can be adjusted by pressing and holding the
[SHIFT] button and then pressing the TOUCH [
˅
]/[
˄
]
piano keys as required.
TRANSPOSE
The transpose function allows the overall pitch
of the instrument to be changed in steps of one
semitone, over a range of +/- 12 semitones (1
octave).
To do this, press the [TRANSPOSE] button and
then use the [+/ YES]/[-/ NO] buttons to increase
or decrease the pitch as required. To return to the
default setting (0) press the [+/ YES]/[-/ NO] buttons
simultaneously.
TUNE
The SDP-4 can be fine tuned over a range of +/-
100 cents (1 semitone).
To do this, press and hold the [SHIFT] button and
then use the [
˅
]/[
˄
] TUNE piano keys as required. To
return to the default setting (0) press the TUNE [
˅
]/
[
˄
] piano keys simultaneously.
PEDAL RESONANCE
The SDP-4 can also simulate the pedal resonance
of an acoustic piano. To turn this effect on/off,
press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then press
the [PEDAL RESONANCE] piano key. The default
setting is off.
Please note, using the pedal resonance effect will
automatically turn off the piano’s harmony function.
