RHYTHM STYLES
The SDP-4 has 50 different rhythm styles to accom-
pany your playing, spanning a wide range of gen-
res (please refer to style list appendix for details).
To select different styles, press the [STYLE] button
to enter the style mode. The display will show
“0.01”. Use the [+/YES]/[-/NO] buttons to choose
the different rhythm styles. Styles can also be
selected by pressing and holding the [SHIFT]
button, then pressing the numbered piano keys
labelled STYLE 0-9 to select the desired style.
Please Note: Always use two digits when using the
STYLE 0-9 piano keys. For example, press 0,8 to
select style 08.
To play the selected style, press the [START/STOP]
button. The button LED indicators will flash red
and green and, as soon as you play the keyboard
with your left-hand (the “chord zone”), the auto
accompaniment will start.
To stop the rhythm style, press the [START/STOP]
button again. The auto bass chord function will also
be turned off.
FILL A/B
Add variations to the rhythm accompaniment by
pressing the [FILL A/B] button. After the short fill
is played, the accompaniment section will lead
into the next section (A or B). The [FILL A/B] light
indicator will be on during section A and off during
section B.
If the [FILL A/B] button is held down, the fill pattern
will pay in a loop and the light indicator will flash.
ACCOMPANIMENT VOLUME
To adjust the volume balance between the rhythm
accompaniment and keyboard voices, press
and hold the [SHIFT] button, then use the [

]/
[
˄
] ACCOMP piano keys to change the rhythm
accompaniment volume as required from 0-127.
To turn of the accompaniment volume, press and
hold the [SHIFT] button and then press both [
˅
]/[
˄
]
ACCOMP piano keys simultaneously. The display
will show “OFF”. Repeat this process to turn the
accompaniment volume back on.
