WORK FLOW CHART

Check upgrade kit is
complete (1-2)
Save and restore one of each: exam,
series, image to a media and view directly
from the media and the system drive (1-4)
Pre-existing
problems?
Shut down the Genesis computer (2-1)
Disconnect SCSI cable from SCSI
tray (2-2.2)
Loosen four screws that hold serial I/O
panel in place and remove panel (2-
2.4)
Disconnect SCSI tray power connector
from SCSI tray (2-2.5)
Remove the tape drive (2-3.2)
Remove old MOD drive (2-3.4)
Confirm SCSI ID=3 on new MOD
drive (2-4.1)
Install MOD drive where
old drive was (2-4.3)
Use screws with the kit to
install new MOD drive (2-4.4)
Install power and ribbon
cables (2-4.5)
Reinstall tape drive (2-4.6)
Reconnect tape drive ribbon
and power cables (2-4.7)
Reinstall SCSI tray front cover
(2-4.9)
Re-assemble computer covers (2-4.11)
Verify firmware revision is
g61a (2-5)
Validate the system works (2-6)
Install option upgrade label (2-7)

Install new bezel on lower half and
