Fault repair and maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel only.
Adopt the maintenance measures recommended in EN54-14 and any other applicable
local authority laws and requirements.
Daily Maintenance:
1. The control unit must indicate normal functioning. Otherwise, the faults must be noted
down in the register book and the maintenance company called.
2. Check that any previously noted fault has been corrected.
Monthly Maintenance:
1. As a minimum, a manual call point or detector must be activated to test the control
unit and the alert elements connected to it. It is recommendable to test a different
zone every month.
2. Any malfunction should be noted down in the register book, taking the corrective
measures as soon as possible.
Cleaning:
The control unit must be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents.
Quarterly Maintenance:
1. Inspect the entries in the register book and the records of the control unit,
implementing the appropriate corrective actions as required.
2. Examine all the battery connections and the voltage.
3. In each zone, check the alarm, fault and auxiliary functions of the control and
signalling equipment.
4. Visual inspection of the control and signalling equipment to detect a possible increase
in humidity or any other type of deterioration.
5. Check if there has been any structural alteration that may affect the functioning of the
sensors, manual call points or sirens. If so, carry out a visual check.
Any defect must be noted down in the register book and the corrective actions taken as
soon as possible.
Annual Maintenance:
1. Put the control unit in “Test” and check the configuration of the system. Check that all
the sensors and call points function in accordance with the manufacturer’s
recommendations and programmed configuration.
2. Visually inspect all the equipment connections and make sure they are safely
fastened, that they have not been damaged and that they are appropriately protected.
3. Examine and test all batteries.
4. Any defect must be noted down in the register book and the corrective actions taken
as soon as possible.
