ISSUE 05/01
MAINTENANCE
SECTION C – PAGE 4
It may be necessary from time to time to remove the glue gun nozzle tip
sealers and wipe excess glue from the glue orifice. This can be done without
removing the flap glue guns from the buckle plate. Remove the buckle plate
from the folder and place on the stacking conveyor. Pull out the latching screw
on the buckle plate and lift the glue gun-mounting bar. This provides easy
access to the flap glue gun nozzles. Pull the tip sealer off and clean as
needed. Relatch the bar by returning it to its normal position, making sure to
engage the latching screw.

7. Overnight shutdown
If machine is to be shut down overnight, make sure the tip sealers are closed
and the M-40 is off.
Adjustment of Tip Sealer
STEP 1: Adjust tightness of Tip Sealer to Nozzle by turning the socket set
screw as shown.
STEP 2: Check tightness of Tip Sealer by placing a piece of paper between
the nozzle and the tip sealer and then pulling it out. It must have sufficient
friction to resist pullout. You should not be able to slide a piece of paper
between the two when the tip sealer is closed over the nozzle.
