For the combination therapy the following method of approach is recommended:
In the DUODYNATOR 119:
In the HiToP
®
therapy device:
1. Select the current type.
2. Put the wished modifications.
3. The white plug has positive polarity in the basic
position, while the counterelectrode – the
metallic sound probe surface – is negative.
Connect the white plug of the patient cable with
the neutral electrode and black
with the
SONOSTAT 135
.

Apply the neutral electrode.

2. Put the wished modifications.
3. Connect one plug of the patient cable with the
neutral electrode and the other plug
with the
SONOSTAT 135
.

In the SONOSTAT 135
:
5. Connect the ultrasound probes to the sockets on the right side of the device.
6. The ultrasound probes will be calibrated. The LEDs of the ultrasound probes flash.
7. After the calibration 05:00 (minutes) are indicated in the display. The LEDs in the ultrasound probes
aren’t lit.
8. Select the desired ultrasound probe by pressing
the

9. The

oftkey
[menu]
is operational. This serves for calling the main menu. There you can select the
presettings.
The
softkey
is operational. This serves for loading your own programs. The indication
menu can be selected
with the

[Ind.]

10. In the display the existing parameters are indicated. If wanted you can modify these before the therapy
start.

Note!
The therapy time can also be set during the therapy.
11. Select the desired operation mode by pressing
the
continuous sound key
or
impulse sound key
.
12. Select the desired frequency (1 or 3 MHz) by pressing
the
frequency choice key
.
13. Press
the
therapy time key

14. Set the desired therapy time
by means of the
modification keys
.
15. Use contact gel liberally onto the area of the patient to be exposed to the ultrasound. Set up the sound
probe flat under light pressure.
In the DUODYNATOR 119

therapy device:
16. Set the current intensity in the current stimulation device or
HiToP
®
therapy device by turning
on
the
intensity regulator
until the desired stimulation effect occurs. If the patient experiences a pain, reduce
the intensity.
In the SONOSTAT 135
:
17. Increase the ultrasound power with the
intensity regulator
until (normally sensitive) patient has a just
noticeable warm feeling.
18. The ultrasound power is indicated on the display.
19. Apply light pressure and keep the ultrasound probe flat against the skin, moving it in circles or even
strokes on the parts to be treated.
20. At the end of the treatment the triad gong will sound 3 x. The ultrasound power is automatically
switched off.
21. Clean the ultrasound probe from the contact gel.

22. At the end of the therapy time the triad gong will sound three times. The
intensity regulator
automatically reverts to “0.0”.
