20 | Working with the Simulator
Tracheostomy Care
The simulator has a tracheostomy
opening allowing the trachea to be
pierced during a simulation with a
real device to observe chest rise.
Replacing the Trachea Skin
1.
Gently lift the chest skin of the simulator
to reveal the chest cavity.
2.
Remove the used trachea tape
from around the trachea.
3.
Replace the pierced trachea tape
with a new strip of tape by wrapping
it around the tracheal opening.
