To remove the air baffles:

Follow the instructions in “Preventing static electricity discharge” on page 43 . Make
sure you turn off the server, then unplug the power cord and all other cables connected
to the server.

Follow the instructions in “Opening the server case” on page 44 .

Pull up on the large air baffle to remove it from the server chassis.

If you are required to remove the small air baffle, go to the next step. If not, go to
Step 5 in “Installing the air baffles” on page 53 when required.

Remove the fan module by following the instructions in “Replacing the fan module”
on page 85 .

Remove the power distribution module by following the instructions in “Replacing
the power distribution module” on page 96 .
Important Take note of the cable routing under and around the air baffles. You
will need to re-route these cables when the baffles are reinstalled.
