1. Switch OFF the appliance (turn both control dials to the “MIN” position) and
unplug the appliance from the power outlet. Let the appliance cool down.
2. Remove and empty the fondue pot and all raclette dishes. Remove any leftovers
from the grilling plate.
3. Ensure that remaining juices on the grilling plate will not be spilled, when pulling
the grilling plate vertically upwards for removing the grilling plate from the appli-
ance. If there are large amounts of runny juices on the grilling plate, we recom-
mend to place a sufficiently large bowl near the appliance and carefully and
slowly pour the juices over a corner of the grilling plate into the bowl.
4. Use a plastic or wooden spatula or a grill shovel to slide the remaining juices
and coarse residues of food off the grilling plate.
NOTE
Dispose of fat and meat juices as compost or in a closed vessel in domestic waste.
Do not pour any fat, juices or gravy into the sink to avoid clogging the outlet pipe.
NOTE
Stubborn residues on the surfaces of the removable parts and accessories can be
removed by soaking these parts in warm dish-water before cleaning.
5. Clean the removable parts in warm dishwater using a nylon washing brush or
soft sponge. After cleaning, thoroughly wash all parts with clear water.
CAUTION
– Always ensure that liquids are NOT spilled on or in the hou-
sing. Additionally, ensure that the grilling plate holder and the heating element are
not bent or damaged.
6. If required, wipe the heating element with a soft cloth damped with some dishwa-
ter for removing any coarse residues. Thereafter, thoroughly wipe with clear water.
7. Wipe the raclette levels, fondue plate, power cord, and exterior of the housing
carefully with a soft cloth, damped with some warm dishwater. Thereafter, wipe
with a soft cloth damped with clear water.
8. Thoroughly dry the appliance and all parts and accessories. Then, allow drying
naturally for 1/2 hour, where the appliance and all parts are
out of reach of
young children and animals.
9. Assemble the appliance: Place the grilling plate on the holder and put the fon-
due pot onto the fondue plate. Place the forks holder onto the fondue pot. You
should store all parts and accessories of the appliance together with the appli-
ance (see: ‘Storage’).
