Problem
Possible Reason
The Easy Solution
some smoke escapes.
Some liquid ran out of the
fondue pot and is burnt on
the fondue plate.
Immediately unplug and
leave the appliance cool
down.
Do not overfill the fondue pot. The maximum volume for
operation is 0.8 litres (800ml). When making
fondue
with oil, only fill max. 0.65 litres (650ml)
into the fondue pot to avoid overflow.
After filling, ensure that the exterior of the fondue pot is
clean and dry, before placing the fondue pot on the fon-
due plate. Clean and dry the appliance thoroughly, remo-
ving any burnt food (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
Food in the raclette dis-
hes touched the heating
element below the grilling
plate.
Immediately unplug and
leave the appliance cool
down.
Always strictly avoid to touch the grill/raclette heating
element with any food or foreign object, when handling
the raclette dishes, because the heating element may
be very hot (up to red heat!) during operation. Carefully
and thoroughly clean the appliance, removing any burnt
food (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
Malfunction occurred.
Immediately unplug and,
under close supervision,
let the appliance cool down.
Get in contact with an
authorised service centre for examination and repair.
Liquid is accumulating
under the appliance or in
the raclette level.
The fondue pot is over-
filled.
Immediately unplug and let the appliance cool down.
Thoroughly dry all parts of the appliance, before opera-
ting the appliance again. The maximum filling volume
of the fondue pot is 800ml (0.8 litres). With vigorously
frothing liquids in the fondue pot (e.g. hot oil), fill in only
650ml (see: ‘Operation / Fondue Function’).
The liquid in the fon-
due pot ran out, due to
frothing.
Unplug immediately and
let the appliance cool
down.
Thoroughly dry all parts of the appliance, before
operating the appliance again.
Avoid selecting too high temperature values for the fon-
due plate. Fill the fondue pot with max. 650ml, when
using liquids that could vigorously froth (e.g. hot oil).
Only carefully immerse your food to avoid overflow.
