ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
n
Warning
If using a Circuit Breaker (Fault circuit Interrupter—FI
switch), when switching a generator to a three-phase
mains supply, make sure that it can temporarily dissipate
generated power, caused by the asymmetry, which
could result in activation of a Circuit Breaker (FI switch).
When selecting the Circuit Breaker (FI switch), make sure
a frequency range of approx. 20 kHz can be generated
by the generator DC and AC. We recommend the
selection of a Circuit Breaker (FI switch) suitable for
these requirements.
When using a Circuit Breaker (FI switch) for personal
safety, the activating current for the Circuit Breaker (FI
switch) should conform to the safety standards and
regulations of the specific country.
n
Warning
The electrician must equip the generator with a
power supply cable in accordance with the applicable
regulations. Ensure the mains cable connection is
absolutely correct.
Branch circuit protection / FI switch
Best practice: When multiple cooking appliances are
installed into the same counter, install a circuit breaker box
or a FI switch box to protect the individual circuit.
Indicates the direction of airflow.
Connecting the Components
Notice
THE COIL, SENSOR AND COMMUNICATION (RJ45)
CABLES MUST BE ROUTED SEPARATELY AND MUST
NOT REST ON ONE ANOTHER.
Notice
To manage electromagnetic interference, dress and
tie excess cable length in a serpentine or S-pattern.
DO NOT COIL THE CABLES.
NOTE: Ensure ALL cables are connected correctly to the
correct induction field.
NOTE: Ensure the insertion tongues of the RJ-45 cables
(CAN/BUS) are fully engaged into the ports.

n
Warning
Ensure the control knobs are in the 0 (OFF) position
BEFORE connecting the appliance to the electrical
supply.
ON-Position
Any position

2. Remove all objects from the glass-top.
3. Review Installation Appendix A: Component Charts and
Connection Diagrams on page 39 and connect the
components.
4. Review Installation Appendix B: Power Supply Cable
Wiring Diagrams on page 44 and connect the
generator to power supply.
5. Test the operation of the equipment. See Function Test
