5.3.3 Sizes from 135 to 225
If at least one of the parts that generate the axial clearance between the rotors and the cover 5B: spacers
Pos. 25, oil splash disks Pos. 23B (only sizes from 165 to 225), rotors and cover Pos. 5B has been
replaced then prepare two adjusting rings Pos. 67 as follow :

HD HF

Measure the height HD of the spacers 25B as indicated in figure 33

Measure the height HF of the cover 5B on each bearing housing as indicated in figure 33

Make two adjusting rings Pos. 67, one for each bearing housing, with thickness SR
SR = HD
– HF – G5B x 1. 25
Where G5B is the axial clearance between the rotors and the cover 5B indicated in the table 7.4
Insert the sealing spacers 25B with the sealing piston rings as indicated in the paragraph 5.4.
Sizes from 135 to 155 insert the oil splash disks 23B onto the spacers by means of a pipe (figure 34)

insert the original adjusting rings Pos. 67 or that
one’s prepared above
Mount the bearings 33 as indicated in the paragraph 5.6
Insert the bearing covers 35 and the fixing them by the screws
Mount the timing gear following the procedure of the paragraph 5.5
Mount the gear side oil sump 12B with a new gasket 50
WARNING: Use the hoisting devices suitable to the weight of the oil sump (table 7.1).
Fix the oil sump with the screws Pos. 70
