Notes on tensioning the chain:
The chain must be properly tensioned to ensure safe operation. When the saw
chain can be raised by around 2 mm in the middle of the chain saw bar, you know
that the chain tension is ideal. During cutting, the temperature of the chain rises and
its length changes. It is important therefore to check the chain tension at least every
10 minutes and to adjust it again as required. This applies in particular to new saw
chains. When you have finished working, slacken the chain again as it will shorten
when it cools down. This will help to prevent damage to the chain.
VIII. OPERATION
When working with the equipment as grass trimmer and brush cutter, the appro-
priate plastic guard hood for cutting blade mode or cutting line mode must be fit
-
ted to prevent objects being ejected out by the equipment.
The integrated blade (Fig. 18/A) in the cutting line guard hood automatically cuts
the line to the optimum length (Fig. 18).
Filling with petrol (Fig. 19)

Danger of injury! Petrol is explosive!
Turn off and cool the motor down before filling the tank with petrol. You must
observe all safety instructions relating to handing petrol.

Risk of device damage!
The device is supplied without motor or gearbox oil.
ATTENTION!
Before operating, you must fill it with petrol.

Unscrew the tank cap (D) and remove it (Fig. 19).
•
Pour in the petrol carefully. Avoid spilling! Immediately remove the fuel and clean
the machine with clean rag when spilling petrol.

Screw the tank cap on firmly by hand.
Draining petrol (Fig. 36)

Hold a collection container beneath the petrol drain bolt.
•
Unscrew the tank cap and remove it.
•
Allow the petrol to run out completely.
•
Screw the tank cap on firmly by hand.
Start on the unit
Do not start the unit until it has been completely assembled.

Only start the petrol multi garden tool if an attachment is connected! Re-
move the appropriate transportation protection and inspect the unit in good
