12.1 Dismantling and disposal
___________________________________
For the preservation of the environment, all parts and materials that compose this counter have to be sorted in
accordance with the waste disposal regulations in force in the country where the disposal occurs. These parts cannot
be considered as ordinary household waste.
The refrigeration circuit must not be cut, separated or dismantled before recovering the refrigerant gas. Proper
measure must be taken to prevent a release of refrigerant gas in the environment. For this reason, the refrigerating
circuit must be dismantled by authorized centres, specialized in recycling refrigerant gases.
For refrigerated cabinets, which work with flammable (HC) R290 refrigerant, refer to the safety provisions given
in the chapter “For your safety” at the beginning of this manual. After the removal of the refrigerant gas, the refrigera-
tion circuit must be flushed with inert gas to eliminate any gas stagnation inside the circuit.
It is possible to dismantle the refrigerated cabinet by contacting a specialized dismantling centre recommended
by local authorities, or a consortium specialized in dismantling and disposing of WEEE.
Main materials that compose the cabinet:
•
Steel
•
Copper
•
Aluminium
•
