6.1 Safety instructions for operation
6.2 Ventilation mode
6.2.1 Basic function
The RZ 25/RZ 50/RZ 75 compact control units can be used for daily ventilation.
One ventilation push-button with one OPEN and one CLOSE button is available for the ventilation
function. The STOP function is implemented by pressing both push-buttons at once.
The drives are permanently activated after a button is pressed in the OPEN or CLOSE direction and
are switched off by the drive-internal end position or overcurrent detection once they reach the end
position.
Ventilation mode is deactivated in the event of mains current failure.
The status of the window is indicated by an LED in the ventilation push-button.
The status display is inactive in deadman‘s mode.
6.2.2 CLOSE in the event of power failure
In order to avoid building damage, close the drives
when the „CLOSE in the event of power failure“
function is active.
To activate the „CLOSE in the event of a power failure“
function, put switch 1 in the ON position.
6.2.3 Runtime limitation
The length of time for which the drive is actuated
in the OPEN direction can be limited by using the
runtime limitation function.
To activate the runtime limitation function, put
switch 3 in the ON position.
The runtime is set the fi rst time the window is opened
manually. The drive is in deadman‘s mode when it is
opened for the fi rst time.
When switch 3 is reset in the OFF position, the time limit which applies for the movement of the
drive in the OPEN direction is cancelled and the time set is deleted.
When the deadman function is activated in the OPEN direction, the runtime limitation function
is deactivated automatically irrespective of the position of the switch S3.
