Establish the electrical connection between the mounting plate of the optional IP mounting kit and the housing
To establish the electrical connection between the mounting plate of the IP mounting kit and the
housing, proceed as follows:
 
First, with the housing mounted, insert the toothed lock washer on the threaded pin of the IP
mounting kit base plate
 
Place the washer on the toothed lock washer
 
Screw the hexagon nut onto the threaded pin on the base plate of the IP mounting kit applying
a torque of 3 Nm to establish an electrical connection between the IP base plate and housing via
the toothed lock washer.
4.2.2 Connection of batteries
Reversing of the poles or incorrect connection of the batteries will damage the compact control
unit beyond repair!
If the batteries are connected incorrectly, the compact control unit may be damaged!
 
Insert the provided batteries at an angle by their protruding tab and press them into the housing
without exertion of force. (Figure page 16). Fasten the batteries in the housing using the pre-
mounted cable ties.
 
Remove the protective caps on the battery terminals
 
Attach the colour-coded twin cable provided for this purpose via the cable shoes on the battery terminals.
Connect
one twin cable to one battery as follows:

Cable marked red from connection „A1+“ to the positive terminal of the fi rst battery
marked red

Unmarked black cable from connection „A1–“ to the negative terminal of the fi rst
battery marked black

Cable marked red from connection „A2+“ to the positive terminal of the second battery
marked red

Unmarked black cable from connection „A2–“ to the negative terminal of the second
battery marked black
