SuperPro Series Installation Manual
Implementing a Wiring Strategy
An organized wiring strategy facilitates the installation and troubleshooting of a wiring system.
FutureSmart suggest that light colored wires be designated as signals or services traveling
upstream (to the panel). Dark colored wires would be designated as downstream (away from the
panel) signals or services. Below is a suggested wiring strategy:
•
Telephone – Use the blue CAT5e
•
Ethernet – Use the yellow CAT5e
•
CATV/Antennae – Use the black RG6
•
Modulated VCR, DVD, etc. – Use the pink RG6
Incorporating such a wiring strategy simplifies the installation process for installers and, more
importantly, simplifies service maintenance issues for both the installer and the homeowner.
