2-7-3 Compliance with Electromagnetic Immunity (2)
The FX-8322/FX-8322R is intended for use in the electromagnetic environment specified in the following table.
Immunity test
IEC 60601
Test level
Compliance
level
Electromagnetic environment/guidance
Do not use portable or mobile RF
communications equipment in a place closer to
any part of the FX-8322/FX-8322R (including
cables) than the recommended separation distance
calculated with the formula applicable to the
transmitter frequency ranges shown below.
Recommended separation distance
Conducting RF
IEC 61000-4-6
Radial RF
IEC 61000-4-3
3 Vrms
150 kHz to 80 MHz
3 V/m
80 MHz to 2.5 GHz
3 Vrms
3 V/m
d = 1.2
P
26MHz to 80MHz
d = 1.2
P
80MHz to 800MHz
d = 2.3
P
800MHz to 2.5GHz
P is the maximum output power rating of the
transmitter in watts (W) according to the
transmitter manufacturer, and d is the
recommended separation distance in meters (m).
The field strength from fixed RF transmitters
(determined based on the result of
electromagnetic survey a) must be lower than the
compliance level in each frequency range b.
Interference may occur near the equipment
marked with the following symbol.
NOTE 1: The separation distance for higher frequency range applies to 80 MHz and 80 MHz respectively.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not apply to all situations.
Electromagnetic propagation is affected by reflection and absorption from buildings, objects, and people.
a The field strength of fixed transmitters such as base stations for radio (cellular/cordless) phones and land mobile
radios, amateur radio, AM/FM radio broadcast and TV broadcast base stations cannot be predicted theoretically with
accuracy.
To assess the electromagnetic environment produced by fixed RF transmitters properly, perform electromagnetic
survey at site.
If the measured field strength at site where this equipment is used exceeds the applicable RF compliance level shown
above, the equipment should be monitored to assure normal operation. If an abnormality is found, additional measures
such as re-orienting or relocating this equipment may be required.
b It is desirable that the field strength be 3 V/m or less for the frequencies that do not fall within the 150 KHz to 80
MHz range.
