Connecting external devices
Establishing a connection to the xbounds dongle
To establish a connection to the xbounds dongle, proceed as follows:
► Connect the xbounds dongle to a free HDMI port on your television, monitor or projector. For
more detailed instructions, see the operating instructions for the xbounds dongle.
► Switch on the xbounds dongle as described in the operating instructions.

After a short time, the xbounds start screen appears on the television, monitor or projector.

► To establish a connection to the preferred WLAN/Wi-Fi network for the xbounds
dongle, select
Settings – WLAN/Wi-Fi
and tap on
xboundsAPXXX
.
The password for the default setting is the network name, e.g xboundsAP0123.
Ensure that the xbounds dongle is set to the correct WLAN/Wi-Fi network.
In the default setting, the xbounds dongle acts as an access point, so the
Tablet PC can connect to the xbounds dongle directly without having to establish
a connection to an existing WLAN/Wi-Fi infrastructure.
The default network SSID for the xbounds dongle is "xboundsAPXXX", where
XXX stands for a device-speci
fi c character sequence.
