Remove the storage blade as described in 

section “Removing the storage 

blade” on page 13

Open the storage blade as described in 

section “Opening the storage blade” 

on page 14

Prerequisites

No controller installed, HDDs not connected.

Ê

Plug the controller into the contact strip (1) of the main board #1 and fix it 
with a screw C26192-Y10-C68 (blue circle).

Ê

Plug the connector named HOST of the lower SAS cable into the SAS 
connector MLC1 (2) on the controller.

Ê

Plug the connector named P1 of the lower SAS cable into the connector on 
the HDD diskbay 2/3 (3).

Ê

Please check, whether the plug P1 of the upper SAS cable is plugged into 
the connector of the HDD diskbay 0/1 (4). If it’s not, plug it in there.
