Replacement routines

In case of an error the following parts can be replaced:

–

Controller

–

iBBU

–

Cables

If these parts are not the failure cause the remained parts will be replaced 
(SX940 complete with cabling).

Observe the safety instructions in the

4.1

Preparation 

To remove the storage blade, you must first switch off the related server 
blade(s).

4.1.1

Removing the storage blade

I

You will find a detailed description of removing / installing the storage 
blade in the SX940 Operation Manual.

Ê

Switch the server blade off: either using the On/Off button on the server 
blade or using the Web interface of the management blade (see the 
„PRIMERGY BX900 Blade Server Systems ServerView Management Blade 
S1 User Interface Description“ manual).

Ê

Undo the locking mechanism of the release lever.

Ê

Open the release lever.

Ê

Pull the storage blade out of the slot.
