Replacing SX940 complete (with cabling)

If the controller, the iBBU, and the cables will be quite correct you have to 
change the remain parts. The cabling in the spare part „SX940 complete with 
cabling“ is already installed.

Remove the storage blade as described in 

section “Removing the storage 

blade” on page 13

Open the storage blade as described in 

section “Opening the storage blade” 

on page 14

Remove the iBBU as described in 

section “Replacing iBBU” on page 19

Remove the controller(s) as described in 

section “Controller” on page 16

.

Remove all HDDs.

Ê

Install the controller(s) in the spare part. See the descriptions in 

section 

“Controller” on page 16
