Modem port
Used to connect the computer to a phone line via the supplied modular cable when using a
Online service or navigating the Internet.

Infrared Port
The fast IrDA compatible port allows you to communicate with another IrDA compatible infrared
device without a cable.

DC-IN jack
Used to connect the AC adapter included with your computer.

Wireless switch
Used to switch the wireless LAN device on and off.
If your machine install with wireless LAN module, slide the switch to the right to turn on the wireless
LAN device (radio signals transmitted), or to the left to turn it off (radio signals not transmitted).
Always keep this switch in the OFF position where the use of electronic devices is restricted,
e.g., in hospitals and on airplanes.

Line-In jack
This is an analog input terminal used to connect the computer to the Line-Out terminal of an AV
system (with a 3.5mm mini plug).

Before connecting headphones or a microphone to your computer, always turn down
your computer’s master volume to a minimum by pressing the F8 key while holding
down the Fn key.
Failure to do so could result in damage to the audio unit connected or could adversely
affect your hearing.
