Common mpdh driver and mpdt driver syslog messages
Only the actual messages are shown below. The module name for each message is MPDH%D or MPDT and the
level for each message is NOTICE or WARNING.
Refer to

for details of the module names and levels.
MPDH%d: NOTICE: SCSI%u (%u, %u, %u) : Use of I/O LUN was restarted.
Cause
The indicated paths for the indicated LUN have recovered.

Action
No action is required.
MPDH%d: NOTICE: SCSI%u (%u, %u, %u) : disk controller connection is wrong.

Cause
The indicated cable is connected to the wrong storage system port.
%d and %u are numbers and %s is storage system information, specifically: storage_system_name -
serial_number/Device_identification_no. - magic_code - path_id (example: ETERNUS_DXL-130011-0000-10-
10-0).

for details of the path id.
Action
Disconnect the cable from the port indicated by %s and reconnect it to the proper port.

Cause
I/O has timed out.

Action
Use the "iompadm info" command to identify the warning status paths, and resolve any path failure
problems, as necessary. After the problem is resolved, the diagnosis function should automatically return
the path to online status. To manually return a path to online status, change the path status to stop using
the "iompadm change" command, and then recover the path using the "iompadm restart" command.
SCSI%u (%u, %u ,%u): ERROR=0x1: no connect
Cause
There are no connections available to the storage system.

Action
Check the storage system to server connections and respond as necessary.

Cause
