Lift the scanner out of its packaging box, and
move it to its installation location.
Note
• The DocuScan C4250 should always be carried by
two or more persons. When lifting the scanner out of
the packaging box, each person should stand either
at the front or back of the scanner and hold it firmly by
the recessed portions located on both sides of the
scanner.
• Do not hold the scanner by its control panel.
Install the scanner in a place that meets the
following conditions and the precautions stated in
"For Installation and Relocation" (P.9):
• Locate the scanner where the temperature is 10
to 32
°
C and the humidity is 15 to 85% (where
dew condensation does not occur). When the
temperature is 32
°
C, the humidity must be
below 70%. When the humidity is 85%, the
temperature must be below 28
°
C.
• Do not expose the scanner to the direct
sunlight.
• Do not expose the scanner to the draft of an air-
conditioner or heater.
Note
• Rapid heating of a cold room or moving the scanner
from a place of low temperature/humidity to that of
high temperature/humidity can generate dew
condensation inside the scanner, and can cause
partial image loss during scanning or copying. If dew
condensation occurs, refer to "Hardware Problems"
(P.64).
3.
If you remove the scanner out of the
packaging box, the parts that can be opened
or closed are secured with tape. Remove the
tape and cushioning materials.
Note
• Keep the cushioning materials and reuse them when
relocating the scanner.
