3.5.1 Ejection distances
The ejection distance of the ejection head depends on a number of factors.
Grain size and weight of fuel
The coarser and heavier the individual wood chips, the longer their trajectory will be.
The smaller and lighter the individual wood chips, the shorter their trajectory will be.
The fine proportion of the wood chips will therefore fall near the ejection head.
Position of ejection head
The higher the ejection head is mounted, the further the wood chips will be cast. The
ejection distance is however limited to approx. 9 - 10 m due to the natural laws of
physics.
