STAND-ALONE PROGRAMMER CONFIGURATION
The Cyclone PRO may act as a Stand-Alone In-Circuit Programmer for HC08,
HCS08, RS08, HC(S)12(X), and ColdFire V1 targets. A simple user interface,
CREATEIMAGE.EXE, is provided for configuring the Cyclone PRO.
5.1
Create A Stand-Alone Programming (SAP) Image
This chapter describes in detail how to configure the Cyclone PRO for stand-
alone programming using the Cyclone Image Creation Utility, shown in
Figure
5-1
. The Cyclone PRO does not require a target to be connected when it is
being configured. However, the power of the Cyclone PRO must be turned on
(indicated by the “Standby” LED), and one of the communications interfaces
must be connected to the Cyclone PRO if an image is to be stored on it.
