SECTION V - NORMAL PROCEDURES
A. OPERATION
1.
Normal operating procedures are outlined in the FreeFlight 2101 I/O Approach
Plus GPS Navigation System Pilot Guide, P.N. 82881, Revision C (or later
appropriate revision).
CAUTION:
When executing terminal area procedures (SIDs, STARs, and
Approaches), the FreeFlight 2101 I/O Approach Plus database will
contain all the waypoints associated with those procedures, but not
necessarily all the legs. For example, a missed approach procedure
may require the pilot to fly runway heading to 3000 feet, then turn left
to intercept an inbound course to the Missed Approach Holding Point
(MAHP). For this procedure, the navigator will have only the
identifier and coordinates of the MAHP, not the procedures for
arriving at it. The pilot should always consult the appropriate
publication to ensure the procedure is flown correctly.
2.
A Shadin ADC-200 supplies pressure altitude, true airspeed, and outside air
temperature data to the FreeFlight2101 I/O Approach Plus. There are no
controls or special operating procedures for use of the ADC-200 system. This air
data information is displayed on the Air Data pages located under the
CALC
key.
