7.2 Maintenance information for specialists
7.2.1 Inspection and cleaning of the heat exchanger
Ventilation units should be maintained by a specialist every 24 months. The following work steps are to be performed:

Visual inspection of the unit for damage and corrosion
n
Inspection and, if necessary, replacement of unit filters
n
Inspection and, if necessary, replacement of filter outlets
n
Cleaning of outlets
n
Inspection of external wall grills for pollution and, if necessary, cleaning
n
Removal and, if necessary, cleaning of the heat exchanger
n
Inspection and, if necessary, cleaning of fans
n
Inspection of condensate siphon for functionality and tightness
n
Inspection and, if necessary, adjustment of the airflow rates
n
Inspection of the electric system
When executing any type of maintenance work, please disconnect the ventilation unit from the power
grid to make sure that the fans are out of operation. In addition, applicable local regulations and safety
provisions must be complied with.
If the profi-air flex unit is not subjected to any maintenance, the functionality of the entire ventilation
system can be affected.
