purpose of use
The
Fortum® 4780401 Infrared Thermometer
is used for non-contact measurement of surface
temperatures of objects in the temperature range from -50 °C to +800 °C. Measurement with the
non-contact thermometer is very fast and easy and it is thus possible to determine the temperature
of objects which cannot be measured by means of contact (rotating shafts or products on a produc-
tion line belt), furthermore live electrical conductors, food, liquids and items that are otherwise
difficult to measure or hard-to-reach or distant. The product is not intended for measuring body
temperatures for medical purposes.
THE NON-CONTACT THERMOMETER
HAS THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS:
- Continuous temperature measurement.
- Display of max. measured temperature.
- Display of temperature on the display even after finishing
measuring ("HOLD" function).
- Aiming laser can be turned on/off.
- Temperature units °C/°F.
- Adjustable emissivity for increased measurement accuracy
of specific types of materials.
- Adjustable light notifications ("COLOUR ALARM")
for low or high temperatures.
- The supplied removable Type K temperature probe for
a temperature range of -40 °C to 1000 °C can be used
for making verification temperature checks within the
temperature measurement range of the device -50 °C to
+800 °C (the device can be used to measure temperature
using the contact and non-contact method simultaneously).
