Electric Stabilizer Jacks (Optional)
Your Aviator is equipped with front and rear Stabilizer Jacks to aid in stabilizing the unit. The switch for
the front stabilizer jack is located in the front compartment on the door side to the right of the opening:
The switch for the rear stabilizer jack is located in the rear compartment on the door side to the left side of
the opening.
DO NOT USE THE STABILIZER JACKS TO LIFT YOUR AVIATOR OFF THE
GROUND.
Extending Electric Front Stabilizer Jacks
When preparing to lower the front stabilizer jacks, first make sure you have a solid foundation that the
stabilizer jack footpads will rest upon. If you are using any type of material as additional support put that
in place. After doing this you are ready to extend the front stabilizer jacks. To extend the front stabilizer
jacks open the front door side compartment door and press the extend button located on the right-hand
side of the opening. If the jacks do not lower, check your power source first. If that is OK check your
Stabilizer jack fuses which are located in the front compartment under the hood. It takes about 60 seconds
for the stab jack to extend fully. If you are using material for the jack foot pad to lie against, stop the foot
pad as it gets close to the material to ensure the material is properly placed for full support of the foot pad.
(Usually this is as close to the center of the material as you can get). When you are satisfied with the
placement of the material continue lowering the stabilizer jack until both feet pads are lower and the
Aviator is properly stabilized on both ends of the front stabilizer jack.
DO NOT USE THE
STABILIZER JACKS TO LIFT YOUR AVIATOR OFF THE GROUND.
Extending Electric Rear Stabilizer Jacks
When preparing to lower the rear stabilizer jacks, first make sure you have a solid foundation that the
stabilizer jack footpads will rest upon. If you are using any type of material as additional support put that
in place. After doing this you are ready to extend the front stabilizer jacks.
To extend the rear stabilizer jacks open the rear door side compartment door and press the extend button
located on the left-hand side of the opening. If the jacks do not lower, check your power source first. If
that is OK check your Stabilizer jack fuses which are located in the front compartment under the hood. It
takes about 60 seconds for the stab jack to extend fully. If you are using material for the jack foot pad to
lie against, stop the foot pad as it gets close to the material to ensure the material is properly placed for
full support of the foot pad. (Usually this is as close to the center of the material as you can get). When
you are satisfied with the placement of the material continue lowering the stabilizer jack until both feet
pads are lower and the Aviator is properly stabilized on both ends of the rear stabilizer jack.
To raise or lower the Stabilizer jack, insert the handle (provided) on to the shaft of the Stabilizer Jack and
turn the handle clockwise to extend the Stabilizer jack, and counter clockwise to raise the Stabilizer Jack.
Be sure the Stabilizer jack pads are on a good solid surface.
DO NOT USE THE STABILIZER JACKS
TO LIFT YOUR AVIATOR OFF THE GROUND.
DO NOT MAKE MODIFICATIONS TO YOUR AVIATOR BY ADDING AFTER-MARKET ITEMS
(gooseneck adapters, hitches, bike racks, ladders, storage racks etc.), WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING
WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION FROM FOREST RIVER, INC. MODIFICATIONS MAY CAUSE
DAMAGE TO YOUR AVIATOR AND LIMIT, REDUCE, OR VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
