SCSI Connections
SCSI allows the connection of the system unit to external storage units, such as hard disks,
cartridge tapes, and compact disk drives. The Centellis CT Series 16000 chassis has a wide
SCSI-2 connector (see Figure 14) on the rear panel.
IMPORTANT
When using wide SCSI devices, the WIDE* signal must be connected to ground.
This signal is available on BP-J5B at pin-17 as illustrated in the section on alarm
support for setting alarm priorities in the CPU-720 Technical Manual.
