- Several devices can be connected and controlled by a DMX-512. They must be interconnected using
XLR cables with the following configuration.
- It is possible to connect several pieces of equipment in cascade to be controlled together or separately.
Connect an XLR cable between the DMX IN on the device and the DMX OUT on the DMX control console
as the first element in the chain. Connect an XLR cable between the DMX OUT on the first element and
the DMX IN on the second element, and so on.
Below, there is an example of how to connect several similar pieces of equipment to be controlled by the
same DMX address, specifically in scanner 1 (DMX 1 address).
Below there is an example of how to connect several different pieces of equipment to be controlled by
different DMX addresses, specifically 1 element in scanner 1 (DMX 1 address) and 2 elements controlled
together in scanner 2 (DMX 17 address).
