Open the pins of the self test socket by
operating the adjacent
thumbwheel.
Insert
the
ribbon
cable plug
into
the socket and close the
socket using the thumbwheel.
3.
Turn the mainframe on, then press the MAIN MENU key and use the
left-arrow key to move the cursor to the left-most field.
4.
Press the
SELFTEST
softkey.
5.
Move the cursor to the next field and press the
POD
softkey.
6.
The display should read:
MAIN:
SELFTEST
POD
7.
Press the
ENTER
key to
perform
the self-test. If the self test fails, a
failure message
is displayed. If a
POD TIMEOUT
message
is
displayed,
the pod is
inoperative. If
another
failure, in
the form
POD
SELFTEST
FAILURE

it appears, refer to Table
5-1
for the meaning of the failure
code.
