1 Fan Filter The filter covers the air intake to keep dust and debris out of chassis air
baffles. Fans inside the 5790A provide a constant cooling air flow
throughout the chassis.
2 IEEE-488 Connector A standard interface connector for operating the 5790A in remote control
as a Talker/Listener on the IEEE-488 Bus. Refer to Section 5 for bus
connection and remote programming instructions
3 CALIBRATION STORE
Switch
A slide switch that write enables and disables the nonvolatile memory that
stores calibration constants and dates Switching to ENABLE write enables
the memory, and switching to NORMAL protects data in memory from
being overwritten. The switch must be in the ENABLE position to set the
date. The switch is recessed to allow the metrologist to cover it with a
calibration sticker to guarantee instrument integrity.
