3.10 Operational
Check
Use the following procedure to perform an operational checkout test.
Unless otherwise stated all references are to Figure 3-1.
a. Use the Strain Gauge to locate a warm target (person, etc.) in the IR
camera’s Field Of View (FOV).
b. Set Gain control to auto-gain.
c. Set HCU Auto Level control to auto-level.
d. Press ZOOM Rocker Switch to full “-” for Wide Field Of View
(WFOV).
e. Press on FOCUS Rocker Switch to focus on object.
f. Check video display for artifacts or ghosting.
g. If either ghosting or artifacts are present, perform a NUC on the IR
camera, press SHIFT and then the CAL Switch.
