8.6
Heater assembly
8.6.1 Heater assembly (pumped warm water)
Complete the following commissioning steps:
Requirement:
•
Check supply and return lines for proper connection.
•
Counterflow mechanism and water inlet on air-discharge side.
•
Check shut-off devices and other fixtures for proper installation.
Commissioning:
•
Open provided air vent, if automatic air-venting is not installed.
•
Charge the coil at the lowest point to prevent air cushions and water hammer.
•
Open the sluice valve or valves slightly and wait until water is discharged from the
air vent valve.
•
Open the sluice valve or valves completely.
•
Close the air vent valve; if the levels are different - close air vent valves gradually
until water displaces air and starts to run out.
•
Activate primary and secondary pump, check rotation direction and put the coil into
service for ample time.
•
Initialize control valves, if necessary (refer to the separate manual provided by the
manufacturer). Press and hold the „INIT“ button in the connection box for 2 seconds.
•
Perform a repeated check by opening air vent valves again.
•
Check for leak-free condition.
•
Operate frost protection in a regulated mode to prevent over-conditioning.
8.6.2 Electric heater assembly
•
Activate the heater bank only if the minimum air flow required is provided for its
operation.
•
Check that the fan is activated for a minimum of 3 minutes following the deactivation
of the heater bank.
