Commissioning
8.1
Requirements
Check the following before the mains isolator is applied to the unit and after all required
installation procedures have been completed:
•
The operating mode does not exceed parameters of the operating limits. Refer to
Operating limits and range of application and „Ambient conditions“ on page 17.
Checking mechanical
installation
•
Check that the unit has been correctly set up and anchored down to avoid unusual
operating noise and vibrations.
•
Check the unit inside and outside for damage; damaged components or buckled
pipes, for example.
•
Clean the entire unit on the internal and external sides. Ensure to thoroughly
remove all drill shavings and dirt. Areas damaged through installation shall be
properly repaired by authorized staff. If necessary, contact the manufacturer
in this connection.
Checking electrical
connection
•
Ensure that wiring by others has been carried out in accordance with the
requirements specified in„Electrical Connection“ on page 45. This stipulates
observing instructions in the electrical wiring diagrams and setting up of the
electrical connection in accordance with European, national and local energy
provider regulations.
•
Check that the earth conductors are connected correctly and that the earth terminals
are securely tightened.
•
Check the inside of the switch box for loose connections or damaged components.
Re-tighten all terminals on the terminal boards and strips of the motor.
•
Check the mains supply. The voltage must match the details on the plate/
identification or the unit-specific documentation.
•
Consider instructions in the operation manual of the control system (DDC or
electronic system).
•
Follow additional procedures and instructions for commissioning of all required unit
components.FläktGroup Service or a specialist company authorized by FläktGroup
is responsible for the initial commissioning and start-up of the CAIR
fricostar
unit
fitted with DDC controls. The initial start-up of the control system must only be
performed by FläktGroup or an authorized specialist company. In this connection
please contact the operations center of the FläktGroup service in advance (before
filling the pool with water).
NOTICE!
These instructions apply to initial commissioning and also for re-commissioning
after an extended shut-down period.The FläktGroup CAIR

unit shall only
be commissioned by FläktGroup authorized personnel or FläktGroup Service staff!
NOTICE!
Data sheet and assembly instructions are located inside the unit, refer to the
labelled positions for the documentation! Remove these documents prior to the
unit commissioning.
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE!
When entering FläktGroup CAIR
fricostar
units ensure that no loads are applied on
the floor panels. During all installation and maintenance jobs take proper meas-
ures to ensure that all load is evenly spread across the bottom profiles (e.g. using
grid walkways).
Ensure that unit surfaces are not damaged or scratched!
