RESISTANCE SETTING
The assembly of your elliptical trainer is now complete. When you use the machine for the first time, you should
adjust the tension to the desired level before starting any training. When you start the exercise, simply use the stress
or tension regulator. The tension level can be manipulated to change the power of the tension. If you turn the knob
clockwise, the voltage is stronger. If you turn the knob counter-clockwise, the voltage is lower.
For further adjustments, you can loosen or tighten the friction belt by tying it again.
First turn the tension knob to the slackest setting. Then re-tie the belt at the buckle on the main frame, just below
the flat beam at the top center. The longer you allow the friction strap to wrap around the wheel, the less friction it will
produce. Re-adjust the tension knob after you have finished readjusting the straps.
REVERSIBLE MOVEMENT
Remember, your elliptical trainer has a REVERSIBLE movement!
Forward pedaling exercises the quadriceps (the front thigh muscles), while backward pedaling exercises the leg
tendons (the back thigh muscles).
Take advantage of this to make your workout less tiring and more fun.
The tighter the tape
surrounding friction
of the wheel fan,
the harder it will be for you to
pedal
(more tension).
