Removing-refitting electric fuel pump

The pump is located in the tank: proceed as
follows to remove:

Undo retaining buttons indicated using tool
1878077000.

Lift load compartment mat.

Remove dust cover.

Disconnect electrical connections from pump

and from fuel level sending unit.

Disconnect fuel lines (inlet, outlet and

breather).

Unscrew lock-ring retaining pump to tank
using tool 1860893000 and a box wrench.

Remove fuel pump assembly.

When refitting, electrical connections

and fuel lines cannot be fitted the

wrong way round because the re-

spective terminals are of different di-
ameter.
