Warning
The lubrication intervals are reduced under the following operating conditions:
• Extremely short strokes < 50 mm
• Long strokes > 2,000 mm
• Speeds > 2 m/s
• Increased dirt in the environment (e.g. grinding dust, etc.)
The toothed belt axis must be relubricated at least every 3 years.
Warning
The slide must be moved forwards and backwards on the guide rail during lubrication so that the grease penetrates all
the spaces in the roller bearing cartridges.
5.3
Toothed belt pretension
Warning
The toothed belt is set to the specified value in the factory and is thus maintenance-free over its entire service life.
The pretension of the toothed belt diminishes during storage and operation.
This is a normal process and not an
indication of wear.
5.4
Moment compensator play
• Check as part of maintenance if there is any play between the moment
compensator and the hexagon pins in the slide.
• If necessary, adjust the two threaded pins to ensure the moment compensator
fits free of play (see section
4.5.7 “Installing the cover strip”
).
