Magnetic field sensors
Four integrated magnetic field sensors for detecting the workpiece carrier are located on the top of the
device. The positions of sensors -
BE1 …
-BE4 are identified. The magnets must be mounted so that the south
pole points towards the sensor.

RFID
An RFID write/read unit (

entification) is integrated into the CPS Gate. It can be used to
read a 13.56 MHz RFID tag (IEC 15693) which is mounted on the workpiece carrier.
The RFID antenna is located on top of the CPS Gate and is identified. The tags should be parallel to the top
of the device at a distance of 1 to 30 mm in order to permit reliable reading/writing.
Note
The RFID module works with inductive signal coupling. Any type of metal located in
proximity to the antenna influences signal transmission.
–
Avoid positioning any metallic materials close to the antenna and the tag.
–
Avoid positioning more than one tag in close proximity to the antenna.
