- antennas
OBID
®
-antennas are induction loops. They are used in order to produce a magnetic field and to
receive the ID-number of a transponder at the same time.
Both the construction of this loop and the quality of the cable have an essential influence
on the quality of reception. For this reason, please observe the installation instructions for
the loops and the supply line.
Depending on the type of transponder used, you may choose between the following antenna types:
•
Small antennas for flush- or surface wiring, which are exclusively used for cheque card trans-
ponder
•
Stand-alone side antennas for cheque card- and (partially) vehicle transponder
•
Ground antennas for vehicle transponder only
Evaluation units ID AWE3000/6000 allow the connection of two independent antennas. However,
this option is subject to strong restrictions and should therefore only be used after having consulted
the manufacturer.
Should there be any loops of induction loops detectors close to an OBID
®
-antenna, a minimum
distance of 2 m has to be kept. The induction loop detector has to be tuned at a frequency below
100KHz.
