In addition to the bar chart indication of the Smart indicator value, this value is also indicated in a numerical
way (4).
NOTE:
The measurement mode can be changed anytime during a measurement process to analyze
or to continue the recent measurements in another mode. The measurement series remains
untouched and will not be deleted when the measurement mode is changed.
TIP:
A measurement process should be carried out for at least 5 seconds. As long as the level indicator
(bar) is still fluctuating heavily, the measurement should be continued until the value is indicated reliably
in a more or less stable way.
8.2.3.
Measurement procedure
–
volume mode
The volume mode only displays the noise amplitude of the measured minimum noise level value as a
single-bar chart. Pressing the data reception key or the press button located on the handle of the
microphone will start a measurement procedure. The measurement will be continued as long as the
operator keeps the key/press button pressed. When the key/press button is released, the current
measurement process will be stopped and saved.
The height of the bar indicates the noise amplitude on a noise level scale ranging from 0 to 100. Leakage
probability is highest at the spot showing the highest amplitude value.
TIPP:
A measurement process should be carried out for at least 5 seconds. As long as the level indicator
(bar) is still fluctuating heavily, the measurement should be continued until the value is indicated reliably
in a more or less stable way.
8.3. Deleting the current measurement series
The Lokal 400 device is capable of carrying out up to seven measurements simultaneously as a
measurement series. This measurement series can be displayed in the measurement indication window.
If the parameter settings are not changed, the measurement series remains saved on the memory even
if the device is switched off in the meantime.
This function is particularly advantageous in the field as the last measurement value is “carried on“ to the
next measurement spot and the measurement series can be continued there without losing any data.
However, the measurement series will be deleted immediately if the sensitivity of the sensors or the pre-
set filter setting is changed.
If you wish to save a measurement series durably, please refer to the instructions stated in Chapter 8.3.
If you intend to delete single measurement values or single measurement series displayed in the
measurement indication window, just press the
button for 3 seconds to clear all seven measurement
positions displayed in the measurement indication window.
8.4. Filter setting
Manual:
The pre-set filter frequencies can be changed anytime between two measurements in any of the two
acoustic leakage detection operating measurement modes.
Just navigate in the measurement indication window to the frequency range indicator [1], activate the
indicator, and confirm your choice. The window offering acoustic filter setting adjustment will open up
now.
The window displays the set high.-pass and low-pass filters, the frequency spectrum, and the symbol for
the additional connection with the headphones. The frequency spectrum is also displayed in color
gradation. Dark colors indicate low-frequency noises, and bright colors indicate high-frequency noises.
The corresponding filter released for the setting is highlighted in red.
