Defrosting the Chamber
Defrost the chamber on a regular basis. To defrost, complete the following steps:
1. Remove all products from chamber.
2. Turn off the freezer.
3. Let the freezer stand with doors open for at least 12 hours. This allows the interior to warm to room
temperature. Placing absorbing towels on the floor of the cabinet.
4. Dispose of the ice and wipe out any water standing in the bottom of the cabinet.
5. If there is freezer odor, wash the interior and exterior with a solution of laboratory detergent and warm
water. Rinse with distilled water.
6. Close the doors, restart the freezer.
Evaporator Inspection
The evaporator should be inspected every six (6) months. This is a visual inspection. Complete the
following steps:
1. Turn off the freezer.
2. Open outer door.
3. Remove evaporator cover plate
4. Visually inspect blower wheel and check blower wheel balance via turning blower wheel manually
and checking for proper balance of blower wheel.
5. Inspect evaporator coil and clean as necessary by removing particles that are attached to the fins
with a vacuum cleaner.
6. Inspect heater rods
7. Inspect general area of evaporator coil for debris or any damage
8. Re-install evaporator cover plate
