Ink discharge
operation
Operation to remove ink from parts inside the printer, such as the ink tube and
print head, to prevent accidents such as ink leakage when transporting the
printer.
Install
The process of copying data and software from a floppy disk or CD-ROM
onto the hard disk of a computer, and setting it up for use.
Interface
Connection point where different devices are connected on a computer. Or,
connection specifications for hardware and software to exchange data
between such devices.
Interface cable
Cable connecting the printer and the computer
Inch
Unit of length. 1 inch equals 25.4mm.
Ink replenishment
Loading ink to the tip of the print head nozzle to prepare for printing
Initial values
Values set when the printer leaves the factory
Initialization
routine
Operation from when the printer power source is turned on until it is ready to
print
Initial media
movement
Movement after media is loaded, until the printer is ready to print
JIS
Abbreviation for Japan Industrial Standard
LL point
Lower left position of the hard clip
Local printer
Printer connected directly to a computer via an interface cable
MH-GL, MH-GL2
printer commands for vector data printing, developed by MUTOH Industries
