5.5 Transfer and transportation

This section explains transferring and transporting the printer.

5.5.1 Transferring the printer

The following are instructions for transferring the printer.

CAUTION

•

Keep the printer horizontal during transfer.

•

Do not tilt the printer, stand it against a wall, or turn it upside down. Doing so
may cause ink to leak inside the printer. Also, movement after transport is not
covered by the warranty.

•

Have two or more people transport the printer.

(1) Before the transfer

If you are using the stand, follow the steps below to transfer the printer.

1. Make sure that the printer is turned off.

2. Make sure that the head is in the right edge position.

3. Remove the scroller.

4. Disconnect the power cable and all other cables.

5. Release the locks on the four casters.

6. For the following models, the four adjusters are turned in the direction shown in the diagram.

87in. spec.

7. Transfer the printer.

NOTE

The casters attached to the stand is designed for transferring the printer short distances on a surface in-house.
