Safety rules
WARNING! The lift is designed and built for lifting vehicles in an enclosed area, every other use of
the lift is forbidden.
The supplier cannot be held liable for damages to people, vehicles or objects, caused by
unauthorized or unintended use of the machine.
Never use the lift if any of the safety features are not working. Failure to heed these instructions
may cause serious damage to persons, the lift and vehicles.
General safety rules
1.
Your Falco-supplier is not to be held liable for damage, caused by unintended use and it’s
consequences. Only use the lift within the specifications, as described in this manual.
2.
This manual is an integral part of the machine: If and when the lift is being resold, the manual
shall be given to the new owner.
3.
Only trained personnel is allowed to use the lift.
4.
Wear personal safety gear such as safety shoes, safety goggles and gloves.
5.
The work area needs to be clean, free of oil and grease in order to prevent tripping and
slipping.
6.
It is strictly forbidden to lift/transport people with the vehicle lift.
7.
Previous to each use, check the lift for damage, signs of mechanical deformation and
leakages in the hydraulic system. In case the lift is showing one of these signs, decommission
the lift immediately until the problem is repaired by a specialized company and/or person.
8.
Only professional electricians are allowed to connect the electrical wiring.
9.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any unauthorized adaptations
10.
For the safety of as well the operator as other people, a safety zone of at least 1m is to be
kept free around the lift and vehicle when the lift is lifting or lowering. The lift is only to be
operated from the operator’s spot, this is because of safety reasons.
11.
The operator may only walk under the lifted vehicle when the lift is in lifted position and the
platforms are not moving.
12.
The operator as well as the maintenance mechanic must obey the rules regarding accident-
prevention in the country where the lift is installed.
13.
Never go sit in the car when it is lifted and don’t start the car.
14.
They should also take notice to the following;

Both removing and disconnecting hydraulic, electrical and safety devices is forbidden.

Follow the safety rules which are described in the manual and on the lift at all times.

Pay attention to the area around the lift during lifting, this is a safety measure.

Make sure the engine of the car is not running and that the car is in first gear and the
emergency brake is engaged.

Make sure not to lift vehicles whose weight exceeds the maximum capacity of the lift.

Make sure nobody is standing on the lift during the lifting or lowering process.
