Program mode (fig 2.3.4 until 2.3.8)
The program mode can regulate the temperature once or twice for
the ON temperature and one or twice for the OFF temperature
during a period of 24 hours.
The following periods can be set:
•
Week
= “ALL”
•
Weekend = “SA:SU”
•
1 until 7 days = “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7”
The set temperature for thermostatic mode is the temperature for
the ON time in Program mode. Changing the temperature for
thermostatic mode also changes the ON time temperature in
Program mode.
The temperature for the ON time and the temperature for the OFF
time are the same for each day and for PROGRAM 1 and 2.
Default settings:
ON time temperature
- 21°C (70°F)
OFF time temperature
- “--“ (pilot flame)

The OFF time can be set in the same way as the ON time.
Either continue to PROGRAM 2 and set ON and OFF times or stop
programming at this point and PROGRAM 2 remains deactivated.
If ALL, SA:SU or Daily timer are programmed for PROGRAM 1 and
PROGRAM 2 on and off times, these become the new default
times. The batteries must be removed to clear PROGRAM 1 and 2.

2.8
Troubleshooting in case of malfunction
If the remote control unit of the fire does not function properly,
check the following points first:
1. Is knob A set to position ON? (fig. 1.3)
2. Check the battery- and/or mains voltage of the adapter.
(paragraph. 2.4.4). Replace batteries as necessary.
3. Check whether the receiver responds to the remote control
unit.
If necessary, reset the receiver or set a new transmitter code.
Before resetting, briefly press the reset button on the receiver
(fig. 1.2), for setting the transmitter code: see paragraph 2.5.3.
4. If unintentionally the start-process started when the fire is in
operation, the step-burner will not operate for 45 sec.
If the remote control unit or the fire itself does not function properly
after all these checks, we refer you to your gas fitter.
2.8.1
Manual ignition (by the gas fitter)
This action is intended for service purposes only.
Take the following steps:
1. Remove the ignition cable of the receiver (fig. 1.2-G) and
place this on the gas block. (fig.1.3-D)
2. Turn the knob B to the right with the arrow to the OFF
position. (fig.1.3)
3. Turn the dial A to the right with the arrow in the MAN
position (fig.1.3).
Now the pilot light valve C and the piezo-ignition E are
accessible.
4. Use a screwdriver to keep the pilot light valve C pressed in,
simultaneously press the piezo-ignition E (fig.1.3 ) briefly a
few times, the pilot light will ignite now.
5. If the pilot light is burning, wait for approx. 20 seconds before
releasing the pilot light valve.
6. Now turn the dial A to the left with the arrow to the ON
position. (fig.1.3 )
7. Now the flame height can be adjusted by turning the knob B
to the left past the ON position.(this causes a rattling
sound!) (fig.1.3 )
8. The step-burner cannot be switched manually.
