4. Installation of EZ Port MAX with Integrated Pipe Brackets (Stand-alone Installation)
When using pipes to secure your new EZ Port MAX, they must be sufficiently embedded (driven or augered) into the lake-,
river, or ocean-bed to a minimum depth of 1/3 the water depth. The actual embedment required will vary depending on the
bottom soil conditions.
Your EZ Port MAX Port comes equipped with pipe mounting holes. These holes are capped when not in use (see Detailed
View C) and act as wear sleeves. A hole must be created in the center of the cap to accommodate the pipe and pipe wear
sleeve, (Figure 13).
The EZ Port MAX (shown below in Figure 11) is designed to use 3.0” schedule 40 galvanized pipe with an outside diameter
of 3.5” sleeved with 4.0” schedule 40 PVC pipe to act as a wear sleeve.
